Data protection notice
This data protection notice explains how your personal information will be used by University of the Arts London (‘UAL’).
When you apply for accommodation through the University of Arts London (UAL), the Accommodation Services Department are responsible for securing your room in a Hall of Residence.
Your Hall may be managed directly by Accommodation Services or by our chosen accommodation providers, IQ, Unite, Fresh Student Living, Sanctuary Students and Find Digs. If we allocate you a room managed by one of these providers, personal data we already hold about you (your name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth and gender) will be shared with them to allow them to manage your tenancy, along with the information you provide on this form. You will be asked to sign a tenancy agreement with UAL with the exception of students who are resident at Don Gratton House, Emily Bowes Court, Furzedown Student Village or Manna Ash House.
Your personal data will be used to support your tenancy on the legal basis “necessary for the performance of a contract”. Your data will hosted on secure UAL systems and, if allocated to a Hall managed by a third-party, the systems of your accommodation provider. Your information will not be used by UAL or our accommodation providers for any other purpose.
We also offer you a range of events and services through our Social Programme aimed at supporting your health and wellbeing. You can unsubscribe from these communications by contacting the Accommodation mailbox at firstname.lastname@example.org or in response to any email you receive.
The information you provide us with will be retained by the Accommodation Services Department for six years after the end of your tenancy agreement, including the current financial year.
